Paediatric Exercise Physiology

Paediatric Exercise Physiology at Necessity Kids

Paediatric Exercise Physiology is all about helping children thrive through movement. It uses fun, purposeful, and goal-based exercise to support a child’s physical health, development, and emotional wellbeing.

Our sessions are delivered by Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) — university-trained professionals who understand how the body moves and grows. They’re experts in designing individualised programs for children of all ages and abilities, including those with:

  • Developmental delays

  • Physical or intellectual disabilities

  • Chronic health conditions

  • Mental health challenges

  • Coordination or motor skill difficulties

Through tailored movement-based therapy, children can improve their strength, coordination, balance, confidence, and ability to participate in everyday activities — whether it’s playing with friends, keeping up in the classroom, or joining in at sport.

At Necessity Kids, our Exercise Physiologists make sessions engaging, playful, and meaningful, helping kids reach their goals while having fun along the way.

Does Your Child Experience:

Delayed motor skills or clumsiness?

Physical Activity Avoidance or Low Confidence?

Low muscle tone or weakness?

Difficulty with focus or emotional regulation?

Movement is essential for physical, mental, and emotional development. Our paediatric exercise physiologists work with families to empower children to move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives, in ways that are fun, safe, and age-appropriate.
