Every child is unique, which is why we offer a range of assessment options across Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Early Intervention, and Functional Capacity Assessments.
The most appropriate assessment will depend on your child's age, developmental needs, goals, and any recommendations from healthcare professionals, educators, or support services. Some children may benefit from a brief assessment within a therapy session, while others may require a more comprehensive assessment and report.

Assessment Booking Process:
When confirming your booking, you will be asked to provide your credit card details and pay a deposit to secure the appointment.
All terms and conditions relating to your child’s assessment — including fees, appointment details, and reporting timeframes — will be clearly explained during the booking process.
We are here to ensure the assessment process is smooth, supportive, and tailored to your family’s goals.
Getting Started with Therapy
Before beginning therapy, it’s important for us to gain a clear understanding of your child’s development so we can determine the most appropriate and effective course of support.
This may involve an informal, play-based assessment or, in some cases, a more formal assessment that compares your child’s skills against developmental milestones to support diagnosis and goal setting.
If your child has already completed a screening or assessment with another Speech Pathologist, and you are able to provide a copy of the report, we may be able to proceed directly into therapy sessions.
Please let us know by including a note on your intake form. One of our intake officers will be in touch to request a copy of the relevant documentation.
Speech Pathology Assessments
Supporting communication, speech sounds, language development, literacy, fluency (stuttering), social communication, and feeding concerns. Assessments can range from brief screening and confirmation of concerns through to comprehensive speech, language, and literacy evaluations with detailed reporting.
Occupational Therapy Assessments
Supporting children with fine motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, self-care skills, school readiness, participation in daily activities, independence, and overall functional development.
Early Intervention Functional Assessments
A holistic developmental assessment for young children that explores communication, social and emotional development, cognitive skills, play skills, fine and gross motor development, and everyday independence. These assessments help identify strengths, areas requiring support, and strategies to promote development across daily environments.
Functional Capacity Assessments
Comprehensive assessments that explore how a child's developmental, physical, sensory, emotional, or cognitive needs impact their participation in everyday life. These assessments are often used to support NDIS funding requests, plan reviews, and recommendations for future supports and services.
Individualised Recommendations
Following any assessment, our team will discuss the outcomes with you and provide recommendations that are meaningful, practical, and tailored to your child's needs and your family's goals. Where appropriate, written reports can be provided to support ongoing therapy, educational planning, diagnostic pathways, or funding applications.
